An introduction to obstacle training

Hey guys, I’m Andrew Pap, your Rebel Insider for obstacle training. Training towards competing in an event like Tough Mudder or Spartan Race is not only an awesome personal achievement, but it’s also something you will remember and reflect on for years to come. Personally, I enjoy obstacle racing because it’s a great way to get fit and active in the great outdoors.

Working with the Rebel team, I have put together a 12 week training program to prepare you for your next obstacle race. We’ll be focusing on skill specifics such as rope and wall climbs, and mastering the monkey bars. Taking the challenge first will be the two Rebel recruits. I’ll be putting them through their paces and focusing on their strength, muscular endurance, recovery, and specific skills required to navigate through an obstacle event, as their next challenge will be a Spartan race in 12 weeks’ time.
